Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is finally coming to PS5 in December, and it will be PS5 Pro Enhanced

PlayStation gamers have waited quite a long time for this one, but it’s finally becoming a reality. Fatshark announced this week that Warhammer 40,000: Oil Spill officially comes to PS5 on December 3.

Longtime fans of the Swedish developer should be very familiar with the studio’s apparent love of releasing games and major updates towards the end of the year, and that clearly hasn’t changed.

The PS5 version of Darktide is coming in a year after the release of the Xbox version (itself delayed)and two years after the initial version on PC. Darktide is, without a doubt, a much better and bigger game than it was in late 2022.

Those who pick up the game on PlayStation will get the most up-to-date version of the cooperative shooter and melee hybrid, although Fatshark hasn’t said anything about cross-play support with PC and Xbox.

All standard PS5 features are supported, including DualSense haptic feedback. The recently released PS5 Pro will also give you a better experience, with a framerate of 60fps in 4K resolution. On a standard PS5, you can choose between Performance (1440p at 60 fps) and Quality (4k at 30 fps).

The game is available for pre-order now on the PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive 10% off the Standard Edition and 15% off the Imperial Edition. Speaking of which, the Imperial Edition also unlocks six days early, not to mention in-game currency and a few unique cosmetics.
