According to to a message (in Spanish) from El Chapuzas Informaticowho have been following the situation closely, the problem with the Z890 motherboard appears to stem from an apparent conflict between the dedicated and integrated GPUs. This doesn’t seem to be limited to a specific mobo either; This problem would occur with cards from several brands, including MSI and Gigabyte. It’s unclear at this point whether the fault lies directly with Microsoft’s update, or whether Intel bears some responsibility here too.

The solution to the crashes requires users to enter the motherboard BIOS and disable their system’s integrated graphics before making the necessary BIOS updates.
