A report was issued at 9:34 a.m. Monday by the National Weather Service regarding a fire danger through 5:15 p.m. for the Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and higher elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer , Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties.

“Low relative humidity values ​​resulting from exceptionally dry weather will impose an increased risk of fire spread this afternoon.
