The fantasy RPG from Larian Studios has already sold more than 15 million copies and was crowned GOTY 2023, proving that its success is undeniable. Yet even with all the twists and turns of its vast history, few could have imagined how far its influence would extend.

Larian Publishing Director Michael Douse shared on X/Twitter that Baldur’s Gate 3 even made its way to such an unexpected place as Vatican City. With just 764 inhabitants spread over 0.44 square kilometers, this small nation located in the heart of Rome is the smallest country in the world.

The Vatican is known as the seat of the Pope and the Catholic Church, but it is also home to priests, bishops and the Swiss Guard. Among them, two individuals have decided to explore the Forgotten Realms of Wizards of the Coast through Baldur’s Gate 3. Surprisingly, they are not the only ones interested.

A resident of the Third Vatican has also expressed interest in the game, keeping it on his wish list. Although they haven’t made the purchase yet, they clearly intend to add it to their collection at some point.

MP1st Baldur’s Gate 3 review gave it a 9.5 out of 10, stating: “If you can only buy one game for a few years because the budget is tight, Baldur’s Gate 3 should be it.” »
