KTET 2024 Notification: The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has released the notification for the November 2024 round of the Karela Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET). Online registration for this exam will begin on November 11. Candidates aspiring to become teachers in schools in Kerala can submit their application form on or before November 20, 2024.

The RTE Act, 2009 directs the state to ensure compliance with quality requirements for recruitment of teachers. Those recruited as teachers must possess the essential aptitude and capacity to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels of education. K-TET is an examination to assess the quality of lower primary, upper primary and secondary school teacher candidates in Kerala.

KTET is an eligibility test conducted to determine the standard or appointment as teachers at primary, higher and secondary levels in Kerala. The exam is scheduled on January 18-19, 2024 and the admit cards will be available on January 8, 2025. The exam is divided into four categories as follows:

KTET Exam Date 2024

The KTET exam will be held on January 18 and 19, with two shifts per day. The first shift will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the second shift will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

KTET 2024 Eligibility

KTET I – Higher Secondary/Higher Secondary with at least 45 percent marks. Two-year Trained Teacher Certificate (TTC) from a recognized board.

KTET II – BA/BSc/B.Com from a recognized university and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teacher Certificate

KTET III 0 BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45 percent marks and a B.Ed. Diploma in the relevant subject

KTET IV – Qualifications required for the post of Language Teacher of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu (upto upper primary level) are eligible.

KTET 2024: steps to apply

The KTET online application link will be activated on November 11 on the official website. Applicants can submit their application form until November 20. Below are the steps to apply for the KTET exam:

Step 1: Go to the KTET website at ktet.kerala.gov.in.

Step 2: Click “New Registration” and fill out the form with your details.

Step 3: Upload the necessary documents such as your certificates and ID proof.

Step 4: Pay the application fee online.

Step 5: Check your form for errors and submit it.

Step 6: Finally, download and print a copy of your application for your records, which will include your registration ID.
