Fourteen former officials from the ousted Awami League government led by Sheikh Hasina are expected to appear before the International Criminal Court (ICTY) tomorrow (November 18) on charges of crimes against humanity, including alleged wartime genocide student from July-August. movement.

These officials include ten ministers, two advisors, a retired judge from the Appellate Division and a former interior minister. TCI prosecutor Abdullah Al Noman confirmed the case today (November 17).

They are Anisul Huq, Faruk Khan, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Dipu Moni, Salman F Rahman, Abdur Razzaque, Shajahan Khan, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Justice Shamsuddin. Chowdhury Manik and Jahangir Alam.

On October 17, arrest warrants were issued for former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and others involved.

The three-member bench, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumdar, passed the order. Other members of the court include Justice Md Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Justice Md Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.

The next hearing of the case has been set for November 18, with the court ordering the accused to be present on that date.

Attorney General Mohammad Tazul Islam represented the state in court.
