My new Tacoma looks good, but it looks crap.

That’s what a new Tacoma truck owner told me about his new 2024 Toyota Tacoma. However, an answer can be found in aftermarket performance exhaust systems from Milltek Corp. and others. Aftermarket company engineers are constantly developing new exhaust systems for many pickup trucks in the United States, not only the popular Tacoma.

“As automakers work to make their vehicles more efficient, we’ve noticed that some engines no longer always sound as good,” said Steve Pound, CEO of Milltek Corp (and owner of Dodge RAM).

Milltek says its skilled engineers design premium OEM+ exhaust systems to improve sound and volume, ensuring your truck sounds as good as it performs. “We believe trucks deserve to sound good too,” and their expertise guarantees it.

Toyota Tacoma

Milltek says the 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s new exhaust offers a choice of versions with or without resonance to create a louder, deeper sound from its 2.4-liter turbocharged engine in Tacoma Hybrid Crew Cab models (both with 5 foot bed and extended cabin 6 30 cm bed options).

Toyota Landcruiser

Milltek says it recently added a performance exhaust system for 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser. The Landcruiser was on display at the Milltek booth at the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas alongside the new Dodge Ram 1500, Toyota Tacoma, Ford F150 and Bronco.

In case you missed the show.

Dodge Ram

Dodge replaced the RAM’s V8 in favor of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, and while it has more power, many think it seems a little tone-deaf in comparison.

Milltek claims to have solved this problem with its new Cat-Back exhaust systems which not only look great with 5.5″ Cerakote polished or black tips, but also offer better sound quality and volume from the new engine.

“Using a reflective muffler to prevent drones, we have once again developed an exhaust system that improves the look, sound and features,” says Milltek.

Ford F-150

Milltek also recently introduced resonance and non-resonance exhaust systems for the iconic Ford F150 (2021+ Supercrew Twin Turbo 3.5L EcoBoost V6 or 5.0L V8 models, including Tremor.

Ford Bronco

Milltek claims to have also recently introduced resonance and non-resonance exhaust systems for the 6th generation of the Ford Bronco (2.7L V6 or 2.3L I4 engines from 2021+).

Steve Pound, CEO of Milltek Corp, said: “Since expanding Milltek’s operations into the United States in 2022, we have established our dealer network and exhibited at local events across the country to remind everyone of the benefits in terms of sound, quality, and durability of Milltek OEM+ performance exhaust systems compared to standard fittings.

Milltek’s R&D engineering team in Tennessee continually develops new exhaust systems for the U.S. truck market. As a result, they are expanding their product offerings to include more of the most popular cars and trucks.

If you’re tired of your new Toyota Tacoma or other truck looking crap, you can easily change that. Discover the variety of American products and resellers available, including options for Borla, MagnaFlow, Flow MasterAnd TRM. With so many choices, you can find the perfect performance exhaust system for your truck.

My question is: why don’t Toyota, Ford and Dodge listen to their customers? Many of you want a truck that sounds better than what the manufacturers offer from the factory. Why don’t car manufacturers offer an optional exhaust system upgrade?

Wouldn’t you prefer it to be added at the factory or dealer and covered under warranty?

We value your opinion. What do you think of the tone and volume of your Tacoma exhaust system? Did you add an aftermarket performance exhaust? Which? Click the red Add a new comment link below and let us know. Your feedback is important to us and the trucking community.
