Before that, she stopped in New York to perform on Saturday evening live. Trump shook things up with three rallies yesterday and Saturday. They will continue their momentum today with a series of rallies late in the evening.

  • North Carolina is a swing state for Trumpsays NPR’s Franco Ordoñez, who is traveling with him. First. Trump won the state twice in the presidential election, but it is now very competitive. Trump has spent more time in North Carolina than in Pennsylvania, which indicates that it is a must-win state for him. Trump is holding four rallies today: one in North Carolina, two in Pennsylvania and one in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
  • Harris campaign believes it is gaining ground college-educated voters, suburbanites and women, who are key groups in North Carolina, says NPR’s Asma Khalid. Today, Harris will be in Pennsylvania to show how state is vital for Democrats.
  • Both candidates will be in Reading, Pennsylvania todaythe city with the highest percentage of Latinos in the state.
  • Republicans are favored to control the Senate thanks to a 2024 electoral map. Here are the races to watch.

Striking Boeing machinists are voting today on the company’s latest contract proposal. This comes after weeks of strike and two previously rejected offers. Union leaders support the new deal, warning that members could end up with less if they choose not to accept it.

  • NPR’s Joel Rose says Boeing is offering a 38% pay raise and a ratification bonus of $12,000. However, the company did not accede to a key demand: the restoration of the traditional pension plan which had been frozen in 2014 during the last contractual negotiations. Boeing says that the pension plan is too expensive.

In political ads and campaign speeches, a message was sent to Republican women, reminding them that their votes are private. That means no one will know if they’re secretly voting for Harris. The ads aim to reach conservative-leaning women like T — identified only by her first initial — who feel that living in a politically divided household is affecting her marriage of more than 40 years. To avoid any confrontation, she mailed her absentee ballot from another family member’s home. Here’s what she and other conservative women say keep their votes for Harris confidential.

Election day is tomorrow. Waiting for the final resultsit can be easy to be fooled by misleading information. Here are some tips for avoid spreading false information related to elections:

  • Keep in mind Results can change significantly throughout election night, depending on which ballots are counted first.
  • Misleading information is often created to confuse or provoke an emotional reaction. If you feel this way, it may be a sign to slow down, take a break, and do some research.
  • Consider how reliable your source is. If you don’t see multiple media outlets reporting a story, that’s a sign to wait before sharing it.

The ongoing conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese armed forces and the powerful paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces has seriously affected a large part of the country. Omdurman, once the cultural heart of Sudan, was known for its rich history, including its monuments, mausoleums and universities. In May, the SAF declared it had “liberated” Omdurman after intense clashes that ended several months of occupation by the RSF. Since then, hundreds of people have arrived daily, but the peace they find in Omdurman is only relative.
