Saúl Ñíguez may not be the player you’d expect to produce a dazzling run from midfield, but that’s precisely what the Atlético Madrid star did in 2016.

Against Bayern Munich in the 2016 Champions League semi-final, the only goal of the match was scored in the 11th minute, and it came from the Spanish midfielder.

Saúl collected the ball just inside Bayern’s half, before beating four players with neat footwork and spotting the far corner.

Unfortunately, he was unable to repeat the feat in the final as his team was beaten by rivals Real Madrid on penalties.
