The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, a comprehensive and objective framework for evaluating rural hospital performance. Rural hospitals, health systems with a rural footprint, hospital associations and state offices of rural health rely on INDEX benchmarks to measure performance in multiple areas impacting operations and hospital finances.
