In terms of injuries and fitness, Kaminski said there were “some issues related to international duty that we are sorting out today and beyond.”

It is taking longer than the club expected for Poppy Pritchard to return from the ankle injury she suffered against Aston Villa.

On Annabel Blanchard’s nomination for the WSL October Player of the Month award, Kaminski said: “That Blanch is one of those names doesn’t surprise me. She grew up with the journey and grasped opportunity.”

She said Crystal Palace had “a point to prove” against Manchester City after disappointing results against Tottenham and Chelsea earlier this season.

Kaminski added that the 7-0 defeat to Chelsea was a “massive learning lesson” for his team and that they would be “foolish not to look back and reflect on this moment” when considering facing City .
