Arsenal defender Ben White is expected to be out for at least the next 2 months after undergoing surgery to once and for all cure an injury that has kept him out in recent months.

With his absence, someone needs to step up at Arsenal’s right-back, and who other than Jurrien Timber to do it?

Timber has been nothing but great since arriving at Arsenal; on and off the pitch, he won us over. It’s sad that his first season didn’t go as planned due to an ACL injury, but it gave us the opportunity to see what a perfect resurgence looks like with his performances this season.

Even though work-related injuries have tried to hold him back, every time on the field he has been absolutely incredible, his desire to win the ball and his ability to move it forward is nothing short of impressive.

Whether at right-back or left-back, he injected class into Arsenal’s defense; he locked out the opposing wingers, making them go MIA and thus having no impact on the game.

With White out for a while, it’s time for him to step up and make sure the levels on the right wing don’t drop. But should we fear that white people will not be available?

Bukayo Saka recently openly revealed how the Dutchman is perfect for right-back, saying: “He gave me confidence by telling me that when he has a 1v1 against an attacker, he will get the ball and give it to me. will give.

“With the ball he is very calm and confident. He is an excellent player; I’m happy he’s showing it.

“It must have been difficult for him, knowing he had so much ability but was sidelined for a year.”

So far, we’ve only seen flashes of his true potential. He hasn’t really had a consistent run with the team. Hopefully he will regain his momentum in the coming weeks. If there was ever a time he proved his class, it’s now.

Nine points behind league leaders Liverpool, Arsenal need spirited performances from their players, and I hope that’s what Timber and the rest of the Gunners deliver.
