What is the show about?

Chronically understaffed police departments across the state must turn to officers in the Lower 48 to help them combat skyrocketing crime rates. For beginners, this is a trial by fire as they learn firsthand that policing is different in Alaska. They face many dangers only found in Alaska, not only from people who want to break free from society’s rules, but also from encounters with predatory animals roaming the city. On top of that, new recruits face negative conditions that can be deadly and unrelenting.
