Prince William follows in his mother Princess Diana’s footsteps on his personal mission to end homelessness

Prince William is following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, to fulfill his mission to end homelessness. The royal family member revealed in a clip from the documentary that he often visited the homeless shelter with his mother and younger brother since he was 11 years old. The Prince of Wales is therefore ready to work for the humanitarian cause.

During his recent visit to the homeless shelter, the prince then interacted with everyone and shared her stories with them, which also included the former Princess of Wales.

He revealed: “I had never been to anything like this before and I was a little nervous about what to expect. My mother did her usual job of making everyone feel relaxed and laughing and joking with everyone.

In June, Prince William launched a five-year project called Homewards. At the time, the Duke of Cornwell claimed the plan was inspired by his late mother’s vision.

Meanwhile, according to data revealed by British media, around 178,560 households were assessed for the year 2023-2024, and the number of homeless people increased by 12.3%. While focusing on the subject, the royal family member claimed that he was “desperately trying to help people who need it, and I see that as part of my role.”

Later in the documentary, the prince recalls having fun times and playing chess with Princess Diana and others in the homeless shelter. He said: “That’s when I learned there were other people who didn’t have the same life as you. »

The Prince of Wales added: “When you’re very little… you just think that life is what you see in front of you. You don’t really have the idea of looking anywhere else, and it’s when you meet people that I met at that time who put a different perspective in your head and said: I lived in the street last night.

The ITV documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness will be available to stream on October 30 and 31 on local networks.
